Getting a Piece of personalised Fine Jewellery made usually starts with a initial free Consultation. Basically you make an Appointment to meet Eckart Johannes at his Studio / Showroom in Cleveland, Qld 4163. The first Meeting is to get to know each other and discuss what you have in Mind regarding your new Jewellery Project. This is a No Pressure Meeting to explore what you really want, how it could be made and what the next Steps will be. It involves some quick sketching to narrow down your Design Ideas. You discuss how the Design comes to Life... After your first Appointment you will receive a detailed written Quotation that covers the material Costs, the manufacturing Costs and finally if there are Diamonds or Gemstones to be set, that will be listed as separate setting Charges. This helps you to understand what is actually involved in creating your Jewellery. Quotes are usually provided within a weeks time... All work is done 'In House' Usually after the first rough Sketch a much more precise technical Drawing will be provided which is the basis of more fine-tuning until you are 100% happy with the Design. Takes about 1 x week. To make sure there are no misunderstandings, the next step is the creation of a precise 3 D Model which can be made of Jewellers Wax or sometimes it will be a Silver Mock up. This can take about 2 or 3 weeks. If there are Gemstones / Diamonds involved, they need to be sourced or purchased from the existing Collection. Often Diamonds are being sourced and imported from the main Diamond Centres overseas. It takes about 3 weeks for imported Diamonds to arrive. Eckart Johannes will explain his payment Terms ( usually he requires a Deposit to get the Ball rolling, followed by a Progress Payment 6 weeks later and the final Balance when your Jewellery is completely finished ) Getting custom made Jewellery created for you is a Journey! There will be a number of further meetings to see the Jewellery progressing. The Reason being that you as a Client have full Control over the Design Process. Any Changes required are being put in Place before the Jewellery is completed. Eckart Johannes will provide a free Valuation Document for your new piece of Jewellery over a Value of $5,000.00 Dollars. For Insurance Purpose. Once you have received your New Jewellery, remember that you can bring in your custom made Jewellery for a yearly Inspection and cleaning. This is a Free Service by your Goldsmith.
